Prince Sultan Bin AbdulAziz Park
PTFE Fabric, Total Area 324 SQ.M
Project overview
At Prince Sultan Bin AbdulAziz Park in Riyadh, TMSI delivered a tensile tent structure in PTFE fabric covering more than 324 m². The project dates from 2023.
PTFE-coated glass-fibre membrane is specified where a structure must last for decades with minimal maintenance — well suited to a public park, where the shade is in constant use and fully exposed to Riyadh's intense summer sun. The fabric is translucent, giving soft, diffused daylight underneath, and keeps a clean appearance over time.
Tensile tent structures are engineered for public-space use and designed to handle high loads and harsh environments. TMSI's in-house team covers design, engineering, manufacturing in the Dammam factory and installation. Every TMSI tensile design goes through form finding and finite element analysis, and the resulting load calculations set the size of the foundations and steelwork and the pre-stress of the fabric.
