For the Saudi Electricity Company in Dammam, TMSI delivered car park shade structures in HDPE fabric with a total area of 1,023 m².
HDPE shade net is a knitted, breathable fabric: hot air escapes through it rather than being trapped under the canopy, which keeps parked vehicles cooler, and it is an economical way to cover large parking areas.
Car park shades are TMSI's largest product line, with more than 300,000 m² delivered across Saudi Arabia and the region; the in-house team covers design, engineering, manufacturing in the Dammam factory and installation. Every TMSI tensile design goes through form finding and finite element analysis, and the resulting load calculations set the size of the foundations and steelwork and the pre-stress of the fabric.
