Retal Car parking shades

For Retal in Al Khobar, TMSI delivered car park shade structures in PVDF fabric covering 1,540 m². The project dates from 2024.

In residential developments, car park shades sit close to homes and public spaces, so appearance and colour stability matter as much as shade. PVDF-coated fabric combines long-term UV resistance with architectural flexibility, and the PVDF top coat helps the shades resist dirt and keep their colour — a durable choice for car parks exposed to full sun throughout the year.

Car park shades are TMSI's largest product line, with more than 300,000 m² delivered across Saudi Arabia and the region; the in-house team covers design, engineering, manufacturing in the Dammam factory and installation. Every TMSI tensile design goes through form finding and finite element analysis, and the resulting load calculations set the size of the foundations and steelwork and the pre-stress of the fabric.
