Project overview
For ALPLA's plastics facility in Dammam, TMSI delivered a car park shade in PVDF fabric of more than 325 m². The project dates from 2020.
Car park shading at an operating factory is a typical industrial application for tensioned fabric: the shade is fabricated off site, which keeps installation time and disruption on site low. PVDF-coated fabric combines long-term UV resistance with architectural flexibility, and the PVDF top coat helps the shades resist dirt and keep their colour — a durable choice for car parks exposed to full sun throughout the year.
Car park shades are TMSI's largest product line, with more than 300,000 m² delivered across Saudi Arabia and the region; the in-house team covers design, engineering, manufacturing in the Dammam factory and installation.
